BRIEF HISTORY
Sid Meiers pirates is a 2004 strategy, action, and adventure video game developed by Firaxis Games and published by Atari, and later on 2K Games. The game is a remake of Sid Meier’s earlier 1987 game, also named Sid Meier’s Pirates!. This will be on my point of view and warning I might be biased on this game cause of nostalgia. Now that is out of the way let’s review Sid Meiers Pirates for the PSP.
TUTORIAL
At the start you will be greated with a cutscene on how the story goes. Long story short your family is abducted and your mission is to rescue them and get your revenge. You pick your class from swordfighter to romancer which will benefit you in the long run. And pick what difficulty you want for beginners don’t try to change unless you want a challenge. And lastly you have to pick which region which there is only four to pick,England,France,Dutch, or Spain.
GAMEPLAY
Your objective is to do whatever you want actually. But if you want to be the best pirate that ever sail then try to complete the challenges which range from capture a trade gallion,marry the governers daughter, attack other cities, and many more. And remember when I said about the famous pirates well there here and you can fight them and capture there famous ships.There is one problem you have a timer which is your health.
FINAL DESTINATION
The game was fun and when you finally defeat the main villain. there is one thing you can do retire. And when you finally see all your achievement and rewatch all the cutscene you can finally feel proud about. So if you want to be the next Jack Sparrow and want to play like a pirate then this is the game for you. So overall this remake is a 10/10 in my books and would play again.
